The villa was designed by the architect Paolo Lanzerotti and represents the testimony of one of the most evocative Liberty buildings in Catania.

A building composed of a central and several central body overlooking Via Etnea and, all around, a wonderful English garden animated by blocks of flats, fountains and a citrus grove.

The villa was inhabited by the lawyer Zingali Tetto, who at his death did not leave it to anyone. It was in 1976 that the villa, which became the property of the University of Catania (today it is an exhibition space of the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Catania), was used for some events and exhibitions.

Inside are housed, among others, the archival projects of the Catania architect Francesco Fichera and the engravings by Giovan Battista Piranesi and is also home to the MU.RA museum, a museum of representation under construction.
